AdBlue helps to reduce pollution by breaking down the nitrogen oxides into nitrogen and water, which are harmless. This helps preserve the environment for future generations.

The use of SCR technology and AdBlue® enables the optimisation of combustion, which can lead to a reduction of consumption for some vehicles. This consumption reduction is already integrated into the figures claimed by car manufacturers.

a typical mid-sized diesel car will travel 1,000km (620 miles or so) on a single litre of AdBlue. Most AdBlue tanks hold around 10 litres or more, so you may find it won’t need to be topped up until the next scheduled service.

As a mixture of demineralised water and urea, AdBlue^® is clean, odourless, and non-toxic. AdBlue^® is not hazardous however as a chemical, it should be treated as per guidelines.

AdBlue should ideally be stored within a temperature range between 0 and 30°C, and kept protected from direct sunlight. It should be properly sealed when it is not being used. It is possible for AdBlue to freeze at -11°C, so it is important that you use a storage area that is not below this temperature.

You must contact a professional to drain the tank immediately and dispose of all contaminated fluid. As AdBlue is not compatible with any engine materials it can very quickly corrode all components and pipework within the engine. If this happens the entire fuel system will need to be replaced. 

AdBlue Injector Cleaner contains a formula specially developed to clean dirty urea injectors and SCR catalysts. Prevents and removes crystallisation, preventing performance loss. Periodic use is recommended as a preventive measure against breakdowns.
